1,500 lead-hit homes in Hong Kong set to get water filters.

Water filters will be installed tomorrow at Kwai Luen Estate phase two, one of the housing estates affected by the lead-in-water scandal. The estate’s builder, Shui On Building Contractors, purchased the water filters from overseas. They are certified by the US-based National Sanitation Foundation to NSF 53 standard, meaning they can reduce the amount of lead in water. The company said the installation for all 1,507 affected households would take about a week, and it will be responsible for filter replacements in the first two years.
